Student Opportunities

Students may be involved in the LID Competition and the LID Symposium in the following ways:

  1. Students are encouraged to join a team and compete in the Green Country LID Design Competition. This is a great opportunity for networking and learning about the applications of Low Impact Development across Tulsa and surrounding areas. Interested students should e-mail Dr. Jason Vogel at jason.vogel@okstate.edu to be placed with a team. The deadline to be added to a team roster is February 14th, 2014.
  2. Students may also compete in the Student Poster Competition, which is part of the Great Plains LID Research and Innovation Symposium. There will be cash prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. The judging panel will be composed of LID Professionals, Professors, City Officials, and others. Interested students should submit an Abstract following the same procedure as other presenters. Abstracts are due February 28th, 2014.
