Great Plains LID Research and Innovation Symposium and Low Impact Development Design Competition

2nd Biennial Great Plains LID Research and Innovation Symposium

Save The Date: March 7-9, 2016

Where: University of Nebraska at Omaha; Community Engagement Center

Who Should Attend: Stormwater Professionals, including Educators, Engineers, Architects, Landscape Architects, Planners, City/County/State/Federal Stormwater Managers, Developers, etc.

Conference Overview: After a successful initial 2014 Symposium in Tulsa, OK, we are looking to grow this biennial event into a regional discussion for innovative stormwater professionals. Low impact development (LID) is a land planning and engineering approach for enhanced stormwater management. The diversity and extremes of Great Plains climate and site conditions generate significant challenges for successful LID implementation. A wide variety of region-specific topics will be discussed through keynote presentations, break-out sessions, and a half-day optional tour of Omaha green infrastructure projects.

Hosted by: UNO Center for Urban Sustainability, University of Nebraska Extension, and Oklahoma State University
